CDFI Fund Awards JP/Great Rivers Community Capital $916k

The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institution’s Fund (CDFI Fund) awarded Justine PETERSEN’s CDFI, Great Rivers Community Capital (GRCC), $916k in deployable capital for under-resourced small businesses. The CDFI Fund awarded a total of $188.7 million in Financial Assistance to 284 CDFIs nationwide to increase lending and investment activity in low-income and economically distressed communities across the nation.

JP Joins Busey Bank for Small Dollar Mortgage Event in South Bend, IN

Busey Bank recently invited Justine PETERSEN to participate on a panel in South Bend, IN to discuss the merits of small dollar mortgages. Organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the FDIC and the OCC, the event shared case studies and best practices as it relates to developing, marketing, and closing small dollar mortgages. South Bend, Indiana is launching a “CDFI Friendly City” initiative, so local banks were eager to learn about the many ways to partner with CDFIs.
