COCA Production of “Seedfolks” Inaugurates JP’s Riverfront Greencubator
The power of plants and people converge this weekend as COCA’s production of “Seedfolks” ushers the birth of JP’s Greencubator, a renaissance space which is equal parts small business incubator, urban agriculture lab, and open forum for creative expression writ large. That translates tangibly to five weekend shows of a “spoken musical,” the fragrant scent of basil and the satisfying culinary ecstasy of nothing less than Freddie Lee’s American Gourmet (AKA Ghetto) Sauce!
As noted in St. Louis Magazine, “ ‘Seedfolks’ chronicles a diverse, immigrant community working together through struggles and triumphs. After a young Vietnamese girl plants beans in a vacant lot to connect with the memory of her father, she unintentionally creates a community garden which begins to bridge divides across her neighborhood.” Moreover, The New York Times writes, “A community plot in a blighted urban neighborhood…not just vegetables but hope, trust, camaraderie and a commitment to change.”
Come join us: Saturday, April 13, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 5:00 PM; Sunday, April 14, 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. The Greencubator is located at 1124 Lumiere Place Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63102. Free parking in the gravel lot to the rear of the building,
Note on current accessibility: The construction of the elevator in the Greencubator’s unique new space will not be complete in time for Seedfolks performances. There is one flight of stairs leading to the performance that may make the area inaccessible to some. If the lack of an elevator prevents you from attendening Seedfolks at the Greencubator, we invite you to join us for our special SchoolTime performance at the Missouri Botanical Gardens on May 8 at 10:00 AM. Please contact the COCA box office (314.561.4877 or boxoffice@cocastl.org) to reserve a complimentary seat. COCA and Justine PETERSEN value accessibility, and we want everyone to be able to attend Seedfolks. Thanks for your understanding.
JP Staffers Present to STL Association of Realtors on Importance of Credit Building
JP’s dynamic duo of Cait Baker and Ben Feimer presented to a packed house during a recent presentation to the St. Louis Association of Realtors. Cait and Ben spoke of the importance of credit building, and its link to “financial capability,” where products and services are made available in the marketplace for individuals to actively build their personal credit score. Credit scores are fundamental to obtaining a home mortgage, and Cait and Ben shared various scenarios on how one can ascend from “unbankable” to “bankable.”
Matt Wunderlich of Great Rivers Real Estate invited Cait and Ben to present. Matt is a seasoned real estate agent offering his services through Justine PETERSEN’s subsidiary Great Rivers Real Estate. Matt is both of a member of the St. Louis Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
