Justine PETERSEN to Host Impact Investing Panel as part of Small Business Week

It’s that time of year again for Justine PETERSEN’s annual panel discussion during Small Business Week of Eastern Missouri. Each year Justine PETERSEN assembles a dynamic panel to discuss a provocative topic. This year’s panel, entitled “Impact Investments and Local Businesses: Your money. Your return. Our community,” will offer attendees the opportunity to learn how impact investing can impact local small businesses. Panelists will discuss and explain innovative strategies and solutions that enable you to invest locally. Michael Howard, CEO of the YouthBridge Community Foundation, will moderate the panel consisting of Sarah Smith, Director of Mercy Partnership Fund; Clayton Evans, Senior Vice President and Community Affairs Officer with Simmons Bank; Stuart Zimmerman, Executive in Residence, Washington University, Olin Business School; and Rochelle Bea, Founder and Director of Beginning Futures LLC. A cocktail reception immediately follows the panel discussion.

Hardest Hit Application Period for Illinois Homeowners Closes Tuesday, April 30th.

If you are an Illinois homeowner struggling with your mortgage payment, now is the time to take action. This Tuesday, April 30th, is the last day to begin an online application; the portal closes at midnight. Homeowners need to begin the application by April 30th – the entire application does not need to be complete at that time.
The Illinois Hardest Hit Fund Program provides mortgage assistance to homeowners who have experienced a qualifying hardship event that has resulted in a 15% reduction in income. Qualifying hardships include unemployment, underemployment, medical conditions, disability, death of a spouse or title-holder and divorce/legal separation.
Assistance is in the form of a five-year forgivable loan with the requirement that the homeowner remain in the home for the next five years. This assistance allows eligible households to avoid foreclosures while they work to regain financial stability.
Through the Hardest Hit Fund Program, Justine PETERSEN serves as a sponsor organization working in tandem with the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA). To begin an application, go to https://www.illinoishardesthit.org/ and select the “See if I Qualify” button on the right.
