Client Spotlight: Two By Faith Timber Company

When you meet Matthew Uhles, you quickly realize that his business, Two By Faith Timber Company, is about much more than woodworking. It’s about resilience, purpose, and faith.

The name “Two By Faith” reflects Matthew’s relationship with God and the journey that has shaped his life. For Matthew, his work is a platform not only to build beautiful wood products but also to share his testimony and encourage others facing their own struggles. That testimony began during one of the most difficult moments of his life.

When COVID-19 struck, Matthew became critically ill and spent three months in a coma. During that time, life continued around him in ways he could not experience or respond to. When he eventually woke up, he learned heartbreaking news—his mother had passed away while he was unconscious.

For many people, an experience like that could feel impossible to overcome, but Matthew chose to see his recovery as a second chance. Through months of therapy, he worked to rebuild his strength and return to the work he loves. Today, Matthew is once again creating beautiful custom woodwork, including handcrafted tables and other functional pieces that showcase both his talent and his dedication to the craft. His woodworking has become both a creative outlet and a symbol of how far he has come.

Matthew also shares his story wherever he goes. Whether someone notices the message on his hat or shirt, or discovers him through social media, he takes the opportunity to talk about faith, perseverance, and gratitude for a second chance at life.

His reach extends even further online. Matthew documents his woodworking projects on TikTok, where he has built a growing audience and even secured a platform sponsorship. His videos combine craftsmanship with storytelling, allowing him to connect with people across the country who are inspired by both his work and his message.

Two By Faith Timber Company, based in Illinois, is now preparing for its next chapter. With more than 20 years of experience in forestry and woodwork, Matthew is transitioning the business from a part-time venture into a full-scale commercial operation. His long-term vision includes managing the full lifecycle of timber, from professional tree removal and milling lumber to producing high-end handcrafted furniture.

To help make that vision possible, Matthew turned to Justine PETERSEN for support. With financing to purchase essential equipment, he will be able to increase production capacity, expand services, and continue growing his business.

For Matthew, the opportunity represents more than business growth. It’s a chance to continue the journey he believes God placed before him, using his talents, his story, and his faith to inspire others.

Two By Faith Timber Company stands as a powerful reminder that even after life’s most difficult moments, it’s possible to rebuild, create something meaningful, and move forward with purpose.

As we open the windows and clear out the clutter in our homes, it’s also a great time to take a look at our financial habits. Just like spring cleaning, improving your credit doesn’t have to happen all at once. Small, intentional steps can make a big difference.

Start simple:
• Check your credit report for accuracy

Employee of the Month!

Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, and champions of excellence—tonight, we gather not beneath the bright lights of Broadway, but in celebration of a star whose brilliance shines just as boldly in everything she does.

It is my absolute honor to introduce a woman whose dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment have taken center stage in our organization. Like any great performer, she brings energy, precision, and heart to every task—elevating not only her own work, but inspiring those around her to rise to new heights.

Her performance? Consistently outstanding.
Her impact? Nothing short of show-stopping.
Her presence? A true standing ovation in human form.

With grace under pressure and a work ethic worthy of the grandest applause, she has proven time and time again that excellence is not just what she does, it’s who she is.
