In a world often defined by scarcity, two dynamic forces—Imani and Sredirck Robinson—decided to counter the narrative with an abundance of love in action. With a collective professional experience that reads like a community superhero’s resume —12 years in youth mental health, 30 years in youth development and crisis intervention, and 25 years in sports education —the Robinsons weren’t just stepping into a community; they were bringing a whole army of expertise with them.
Their non-profit, Love in Action, Inc. (“The Church Without Walls”), has a mission rooted in service: “Making our city beautiful by meeting the needs, building relationships, and making an impact on one Community at a time.” Forget the typical storefront, Love in Action has no products for sale. Their inventory consists of essential resources: quality food, professional life-skills training, and critical educational resources, all delivered directly to underserved youth and families living at or below poverty levels.The Model: They don’t wait for people to come to them; they meet people where they are, regardless of circumstance—socioeconomic background, race, or mental capacity.
Imani, a certified Life Coach and Health & Wellness Coach, and Sredirck, an expert in men’s discipleship and urban youth leadership (DVULI Initiative), drive this organization entirely by donations, allowing them to freely fulfill their purpose: to empower the community to be Love in Action by being the love in action.
