Since then, their business, Freddie Lee’s Gourmet Sauces, has achieved remarkable success, particularly with their flagship product, “Ghetto Sauce.” This sauce has earned a reputation as one of the finest to come out of St. Louis.
In 2017, their achievements were celebrated, especially when they were awarded Justine PETERSEN’s Small Business of the Year award. Their growth has been unstoppable, and they continue to innovate and expand, making their mark in the culinary world while inspiring small business owners everywhere. These talented entrepreneurs have found great success since 2017 by establishing Under Grace Home Health Agency, LLC, which provides exceptional at-home health and adult day care services.
Recently, Kalonda and Tashauna’s incredible efforts were showcased in the St. Louis American article titled “An Island Paradise for Young Gamers.” This piece highlights their unwavering commitment to creating positive change in their community. Sheri Flanigan-Vazquez, the COO of Justine PETERSEN, participated in a panel discussion at the Conversations on Equity: Capital on the Cutting Edge event, held at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She was joined by Cortaiga Collins, a client of JP and owner of Good Shepherd; Sydney Diavua from the Federal Reserve Bank; and Yuliya Tarasava, the Founder and COO of CNote. Together, they engaged in a “Fireside Chat” focused on Funding Strategies for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs).

The panel focused on innovative methods to enhance equitable access to capital for underserved communities, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and creativity.
