Regions Bank Expands Investment in Justine PETERSEN’s Loan Fund to $4 Million
Regions Bank has expanded its loan fund investment in Justine PETERSEN to a remarkable $4 million. This increased funding will allow Justine PETERSEN to continue its mission of providing accessible financing to underserved individuals and communities, supporting more small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The expanded investment from Regions Bank signifies the bank’s commitment to impactful community development. Welcome Eric Madkins to the Justine Petersen Board of Directors!
Eric M. Madkins is the Vice President and Community Development Manager at Regions Bank. He oversees Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) initiatives across Missouri, Illinois, and Iowa. In this role, he develops partnerships to enhance CRA lending opportunities, capital investments, and financial services. Using his expertise, Madkins aims to strengthen community relations and improve financial accessibility. He is also a key member of Regions’ St. Louis Market Executive Leadership Team.
Madkins has previously led housing and community development at the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. In this role, he managed a $3 million housing portfolio and established the area’s first Mortgage Help Center, which provided essential foreclosure prevention services to thousands, resulting in $1.2 billion in loan recovery. His contributions also include serving on various boards, such as the St. Louis Community Foundation, where he is a member of the Executive Committee. Over his 20+ years of experience in affordable housing and community development, Madkins has received multiple awards recognizing his significant impact in the field.

Justine PETERSEN’s IgniteMO program is in full swing!
Justine Petersen has launched the IgniteMO Loan Program to support small businesses throughout Missouri, with plans to provide over $105 million in funding over the next decade. The program aims to assist more than 2,000 businesses and includes a commitment to allocate at least 20% of loans to recipients located outside the St. Louis and Kansas City areas, thereby promoting economic growth across the state.
The program offers loan terms of up to 60 months, with anticipated average loan sizes under $50,000.
IgniteMO’s systematic approach will provide ongoing support to Missouri’s business community, promoting growth and resilience in the years ahead.
