JP’s Holiday Party is December 7th!
While we’re all getting ready for our Thanksgiving feasts over the next week, the holiday festivities are ready to come knocking right after! We hope you’ll put Justine PETERSEN’s Holiday Party at the top of your list. Whether you’re a former or current client, partner, or supporter, this is your official invitation to bring your colleagues, friends, and family for a night of merriment. Among the many exciting offerings at this party, will be food provided by The Messy Kitchen Catering, a JP client and fan favorite for meals. The Messy Kitchen is owned and operated by Valencia Marteen, who has grown a following of over 10K on Instagram, which is not at all surprising if you’ve tried her delicious dishes. The food was so popular at the party last year that we were thrilled when they accepted our request to do more of what they do best this year. As of just the other day The Messy Kitchen Catering was still accepting orders for Thanksgiving, so if you want to please your table guests, check them out and act fast by calling 314.910.0586.
The location for this free event will be at JP’s Greencubator building at 1124 Lumiere Place, St. Louis, MO 63102 (please note that this is not located at the casino, but at a neighboring building at the corner of Biddle St and Broadway).RSVP through the QR code at the logo in the top right of the invite above, or email JP Chief Partnerships Officer, Shawna Collier at scollier@justinepetersen.org.
JP Welcomes LeeToya Grant to Finance Department
Justine PETERSEN is fortunate to have a new, always smiling face in our Finance Department – LeeToya Grant! LeeToya joins us as a Financial Associate II, as she will be focused on financial accuracy through diligent reporting and client transaction oversight. LeeToya comes to JP after previously serving in roles as a business manager and financial coordinator for human capital management. She’s balancing her duties at JP while pursuing her associates degree in Accounting at St. Louis Community College’s Forest Park campus. While LeeToya may be a new colleague at JP, she is most certainly not new to the JP environment, as her parents were one of JP’s first ever clients. That’s exactly what drew LeeToya to joining the team. “JP’s mission statement – ‘Building Assets. Changing Lives.’ – I know that experience to be true and meaningful for so many families,” said LeeToya. With her plate being pretty full right now, LeeToya is looking ahead to filling her Thanksgiving plate next week “at our family table, we always have duck and dressing. I’ll be looking forward to that and spending time with my loved ones.”
JP Is Driven By Purpose
In the above, Justine PETERSEN’s Financial Associate II, LeeToya Grant  noted she was drawn to join the team because she knew firsthand of the missing to Build Assets. Change Lives. Because of that passion, and LeeToya’s natural tendency to be optimistic and look for opportunity, she made for the perfect colleagues to launch our new campaign: Driven By Purpose: What’s Your Why, featured on the JP website. LeeToya describes how JP has provided both her parents and herself with the opportunity to achieve financial freedom. Check back for more stories about our team members and what powers their work.
JP Honors Alzheimer’s Patients and Caretakers This November
Justine PETERSEN wears purple to stand with the many individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s Disease this November, Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. We hope awareness and support continue to be raised for them to navigate this challenging journey. We celebrate those like our own Asset Building Counselor, Nikki Wilson, who have walked the journey and continue fighting to fundraise for a cure.
Happy Birthday, LaTrisha and Matt!
Happy Birthdays are in order for two of Justine PETERSEN’s most popular members, Asset Building Counselor, LaTrisha Gandy and Compliance Associate, Matt Chandler. LaTrisha and Matt are often problem solving on behalf of clients and colleagues. We hope their birthdays are, at least in part, celebrated with deep rest and relaxation.
