Support Black Businesses in the Month of August

August is National Black Business Month, and Justine PETERSEN is once again looking forward to celebrating the impact of Black-owned businesses in our community and beyond. We are honored to work with a number of Black entrepreneurs as clients and partners, and are constantly inspired by their work. Generating over $200 billion in annual revenue and responsible for for 3.56 million jobs in the United States, Black-owned businesses account for around 10% of all American businesses. We hope you will join us in supporting Black Business Month by putting consumer dollars toward Black-owned businesses, or attending one of the events below.

  • On Wednesday, August 16th CEO of Lifespiration Anika Porter will be hosting a Lunch and Learn in partnership with JP on social media marketing. Check out this feature in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for more about it! Register to attend here.
  • Thursday, August 17th fashion and female entrepreneurship will be on full display at the Sundress & Shades Networking Soiree from 6pm – 8:30pm, hosted by SheCan Connect. Register here.
