Justine PETERSEN’s Business Assistance Team is designed to support JP’s small business clients in a variety of ways. While often taking an individualized approach to an entrepreneur’s needs, they also host a number of virtual group programming with guest presenters. These presentations are free, and they encourage all to attend to gain new insights.

On Thursday, Mar. 16, 2023, starting at 4 p.m. CDT, in partnership with Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and with support from Emerson, JP will host a two-hour Small Business Legal Clinic via Zoom.

Topics covered include business formation; employees/contractors insurance; trademarks, business names, logos and copyright; leases and contracts; as well as other legal issues.

This program promotes economic development in the St. Louis region by offering free legal clinics to current, former, and prospective clients of Justine PETERSEN. An Emerson attorney will be available for 30-minute one-on-one sessions to discuss legal topics related to new and existing small businesses. This service is free, with a value of $150 or more if an individual accessing legal services would speak with an attorney directly.

Registration is required. Contact Yolanda Nelson at (314) 533-2411, ext. 118 or ynelson@justinepetersen.org for more information. A Zoom link will be provided upon registration.

And on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 3 p.m. CDT, JP will host “Stress — You Have a Choice!” This is a one-hour free virtual session hosted via Zoom examines the stress of entrepreneurship.

Presented by Tara Genusa, participants will have the opportunity to engage in real-time guidance and learn more about stress management tools, anxiety relief tips and tricks, how to move on from overwhelming feelings, and how to overcome habits, patterns, and beliefs that are barriers. Genusa is a certified life coach with years of training and experience.

Registration is also required for this session. For more information on the April 7 event, email mbolden@justinepetersen.org.
