Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Legacy
Justine PETERSEN celebrates and honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s enduring work for economic justice of disenfranchised peoples. Dr. King’s dream was not simply to seek all men as created equal, or for children not to be judged by the color of their skin. Rather, it’s to enable systems of justice each day by creating quality jobs, not only on one side of the highway but in the corners of every community. By ensuring the ability to own property is both fair and affordable, not only in how it’s advertised but in the details of the fine print. By ensuring that capital is accessible, not only through the privilege of generational wealth but through opportunity provided by financial institutions. Everyday we must work to bring this dream into reality.
On Monday January 16th Justine PETERSEN’s offices will be closed. Many of our team members will be participating in the St. Louis Mid-County Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade & Program at Barack Obama Elementary and Normandy High School. All are welcome to come out and join in community.
Make Your Dream of Home Ownership Happen with JP + GNF
As a participant of the Gateway Neighborhood Fund, Justine PETERSEN is creating access to home financing options for individuals and families. The Gateway Neighborhood Fund provides loans to qualified borrowers to either purchase or make improvements on existing homes in neighborhoods with depressed property values. These loans allow up to $75,000 over the appraised value for the purchase or renovation of homes. Qualifying borrowers will receive the loan product from participating banks, which will ensure consistent terms and rates on quality affordable mortgages. Additionally, homebuyers will receive counseling through Justine PETERSEN and work with a project manager who will help oversee renovation of the home.
