JP Gathers with Friends at Friendsgiving
Justine PETERSEN was grateful for the recent opportunity of attending and sponsoring Friendsgiving: A Wealth Building Conference at Washington University in St. Louis on November 11th. The event was organized by author, speaker, and entrepreneur Keisha Mabry, and hosted over 175 attendees. Of those in attendance was JP’s Chief Partnership Officer, Shawna Collier, who said the event was “one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of being part that included wealth building knowledge applicable to all attendees.” Friendsgiving included over 25 speakers for three different panel discussions covering topics on wealth: what’s preventing it, pathways to it, and protecting & transferring it. Plans are already in the works for a next one!.

JP Chief Lending Officer Attends NAGGL Conference

ThiJustine PETERSEN’s Chief Lending Officer, Aida Richardson, set out for Colorado Springs on October 24-26 to attend the National Association for Government Guaranteed Loans (NAGGL) Conference. The conference hosted 1,000 attendees from both banking and non-banking institutions who work with government guaranteed loans, giving them an opportunity to hear updates from industry leaders and the SBA. Aida participated in sessions focused on credit underwriting in a post-COVID world; servicing, liquidation, and guarantee purchases of government guaranteed loans; changes and updates in the secondary market; SBA Office of Credit Risk Management update, the 7A program, and recent legislation. SBA Administrator, Isabella Guzman, provided a planning session to the crowd, while also addressing changes happening within the SBA and overall economy. Aida further enhanced her visit by staying an extra day to participate in an full day NAGGL certification class that “covered more conventional ways banks do underwriting for large loans, how to do deal with spreads and how to understand and analyze loans.” To learn more about JP’s product offerings of government guaranteed and SBA loan products, direct emails to Aida at arichardson@justinepetersen.org.

It’s the Holiday Season. And That Includes Birthdays and Work-aversaries!

JP has an affinity for celebrating holidays. Our office Team Calendar is chock full. Recently we recognized Work-aversaries for colleagues Trina Roberson and Tatiana Gillum – 19 and 1-year milestones respectively. In fact, Tatiana’s Work-aversary coincided with JP’s Matt Chandler’s birthday, so we had to work overtime that day to accommodate the demand for celebration. Congrats Trina and Tatiana and Happy Belated Matt!
