PNC Bank Invests $5M in Missouri and Central Illinois Markets to Advance JP’s Small Business Lending

Justine PETERSEN is most grateful to yet another significant investment from PNC Bank to further small business lending in both Missouri and Central Illinois.  PNC Bank is one of JP’s historically largest financial supporters, investing millions over the last decade to catalyze JP’s deployment of safe and affordable capital to small businesses that fall outside the reach of mainstream finance.  PNC’s lockstep commitment to partnering with CDFIs across the nation is a shining example of how tandem and creative financing instruments can be crafted and executed in a manner where impact is truly realized in markets both urban and rural.

JP Summer Intern Spotlight:  Chloe Gamber of Associated Bank’s Nonprofit Lender Internship Program

Justine PETERSEN is once again pleased to participate this summer in Associated Bank’s Nonprofit Lender Internship Program.  Chloe Gamber is fulfilling a 12-week internship with JP’s Development Team, assisting in all facets of the team’s daily operations. Associated Bank has designed the internship program to create capacity in the nonprofit lending space, while providing internship experience for the next generation of community development lenders.

“I was attracted by the goals that JP has developed, along with the great community it has helped,” noted Chloe. When asked what she finds most rewarding about the internship opportunity, Chloe stated, “The work flow is very enjoyable, and I have a great manager (Ronika Moody!) who is very supportive and personable. Being able to also talk easily to anyone in the work place is very rewarding and definitely makes it feel like home.”

Chloe is a student at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois with a double major in Computational Science and Business Administration. Outside of school, she enjoys playing violin, making art and hiking or exploring new places with friends.

Thanks for being part of our team this summer Chloe!

On deck:  New two-story deck!!!!

OK, we may not want 25th Anniversary Block Party revelers taking any risks, but our 2-story deck on the rear side of the 1023 N. Grand Blvd. office is on track to be ready by August 4th!  JP staffers are excited about the prospect of walking out onto the deck for some fresh air as becoming a ritual of a typical day in (outside) of the office.
