INB Invests $250k into Springfield, Illinois Covid Recovery Small Business Loan Fund

Justine PETERSEN is proud to welcome INB as the most recent banking partner to invest into the Springfield, Illinois Covid Recovery Small Business Loan Fund.  Based in Springfield, Illinois, INB is committed to serving both the City of Springfield as well as central Illinois, operating 13 branches throughout its footprint.  INB’s $250k investment into the special purpose vehicle (SPV) will advance the deployment of much needed small business funds to not only existing Springfield small businesses, but also start-ups, as the Springfield economy builds back after two years of pandemic challenges.  Since launching in July of 2021, the fund has assisted over 60 Springfield small businesses and deployed over $800,000.

Justine PETERSEN Bids Farewell to Intern Tessa Sottile

As we welcome spring weather, we bid farewell to stalwart JP intern Tessa Sottile.  Tessa chose Justine PETERSEN as her foundation practicum site as she pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis.  As part of our Development Team, Tessa participated in myriad monthly and quarterly reporting duties, most specifically gathering and refining data.  She played a vital role in providing support to our partnership with the EBA (Entrepreneur Backed Assets) Fund.

“I was 100% attracted to the mission,” stated Tessa in regards to choosing JP as her foundation practicum site, “Each and every day I am inspired by the clients and staff at Justine PETERSEN.”

Tessa will complete her second and final year of her MSW program next year, graduating in May of 2023.  THANK YOU TESSA!  AND BEST WISHES!
