CITY PARTNERSHIP WITH JUSTINE PETERSEN

This summer, the City of Springfield used $300,000 of its American Recue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to create a new $2 million business micro-loan pool in partnership with Justine Petersen. Funding is also provided by the Small Business Association along with commitments from Bank of Springfield, Carrolton Bank, INB, and PNC Bank. Loans are geared towards Springfield business owners that have difficulty obtaining loans through traditional banks.

At this past Tuesday City Council meeting, Justine Petersen staff provided an update and were joined by Denise Shields from Miss Kitty’s Chuckwagon who shared how this program helped her Springfield business. Review the handout that was shared with the Council or watch a recording of the presentation on YouTube. For businesses interested in learning more about the program, please email TBrown@justinepetersen.org or call 217.789.29377.
