Gateway Neighborhood Fund Officially Launches
The Gateway Neighborhood Fund (GNF) officially launched this past week with a press conference that included remarks by newly
elected City of St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones and Justine PETERSEN Housing Manager Randen Click. Based on highly successful program in Detroit, the GNF addresses the “appraisal gap” that disproportionately impacts predominantly Black neighborhoods and further exacerbates the racial wealth gap. Justine PETERSEN is providing management of the home owner readiness program led by Housing Manager Randen Click.

Policy Brief: Eviction Moratoriums Extended in St. Louis City and County

Judicial orders in St. Louis city and county were issued this week extending the eviction moratoriums first put into place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tenants can apply for eviction protection under the moratorium by completing a CDC Eviction Protection Declaration form, linked here. In St. Louis city, the moratorium was set to expire on May 3rd, but will now be in place until the end of the month. In the county, the moratorium was lifted on April 5th, but is now reinstated until June 30th.
