Justine PETERSEN Marks Record Year of Lending in 2020, Topping $30 Million

Justine PETERSEN reached record new levels of lending in calendar year 2020, deploying a total of $30,910,500. Justine PETERSEN and its subsidiary community development financial institution (CDFI) Great Rivers Community Capital, deployed nearly 1,500 loans to both small businesses and consumers in need, with 75% assisting minority borrowers and 83% assisting low-income borrowers.  PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loans, 436 in total, comprised $14.8M in lending.  A year like no other, 2020 posed unfathomably formidable challenges for both small business owners and consumers alike.  Justine PETERSEN is grateful to our governmental, banking and philanthropic partners, who provided the necessary support to assist us in meeting the needs of our community.

Justine PETERSEN Welcomes the Galant Return of Daniel Koslovsky!

Our superstar Americorps VISTA member has indeed returned as a full-time employee.  Daniel Koslosky is back at Justine PETERSEN, and that makes a happy and satisfied staff.  A man of many gifts, Daniel’s new role as Grants Management Associate will include comprehensive reporting on JP’s grant portfolio, assisting with data management and continuing his previous work with the development of programmatic logic models. And why did he want to return to JP? “I had a great experience as a VISTA doing interesting work with wonderful people at an organization that is doing great things.  It was a no-brainer,” states Daniel.

Pandemic Potion Pic (yup, yet another “PPP”)

Ok, we now have multiple vaccines available, but along the way, we all defaulted to our personal, particular potion, and will most likely continue to do so.  JP staffer Shawna Collier raises a glass of – she claims ginger ale – in her favorite wine glass to the promise of tomorrow!  Also, that’s Shawna’s artwork in full view!  Cheers!
