JP Earns “Top Rated Nonprofit” Recognition

For the third consecutive year, Justine PETERSEN has earned the recognition of “Top Rated Nonprofit” by Great Nonprofits, a resource platform that supports and advances the work of nonprofits throughout the nation. The recognition is based upon reaching the requisite number of clients, partners, fellow nonprofit practitioners and donors trumpeting the work of the nominated nonprofit. JP’s Katie Kristensen Providing Coaching as Part of Capital One Emerging Leaders Program

Justine PETERSEN and Capital One are leading the Capital One Emerging Leaders Program which takes a peer learning approach and builds on credit building trainings conducted with organizations that received grant funds to launch secure credit card programs. The initiative offers two components: quarterly webinars and organizational coaching calls. JP’s Credit Building Manager Katie Kristensen is leading both the webinar and coaching facets of the program. The innovations, best practices, and insights gleaned by the group work will be published in a forthcoming secured card tool kit guide for other organizations to use.

Justine PETERSEN’s Shawna Collier Participates in Annual “Think Like a Banker” Event

Justine PETERSEN’s Senior Loan Counselor Shawna Collier shared her wealth of knowledge and experience recently at the annual “Think Like a Banker” event held at Midwest BankCentre’s Pagedale location. Coordinated by the Grace Hill Women’s Business Center, the event offers small business owners the opportunity to learn tips on how to become bankable for mainstream financing. Alyce Herndon, Director of the Grace Hill Women’s Business Center, moderated a panel consisting of Shawna Collier, Evette Baker of Prosperity Connection, Alex Fennoy of Midwest BankCentre and Porscha Anderson, owner and CEO of New Direction Financial Solutions.
