Justine PETERSEN Staff Present at Recent Credit Builders Alliance Symposium in Washington, DC

JP housing, microlending and credit departments were each represented at the recent 2019 Credit Builders Alliance Symposium in Washington, DC. Entitled “The Value of Credit,” this year’s symposium highlighted both how credit scores impact opportunities for individuals, families and small businesses, and the ways non-profits are able to create, promote and measure this impact. JP reps staffed an information table detailing our “Save2Build” credit builder loan and participated in a panel discussion regarding our partnership with Capital One to expand capacity of non-profit agencies to integrate secured credit cards as a credit building tool into their existing social services.

Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Promotes Monthly Networking with Business After Hours Events

Justine PETERSEN has a longstanding relationship with the local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has a robust calendar of monthly “Business After Hours” events that allows local small business owners, practitioners and professionals in the financial services to network, discuss future collaborations – and most importantly – share a laugh or two (that goes for a drink or two as well!). Recently, JP staffers Aja, Keisha and Ivo attended Business After Hours and enjoyed the opportunity to share the work of Justine PETERSEN with those in attendance.

JP Office Slayed by Cuteness of Pablo the Kitty

JP staffer Samantha is now the proud kitty mama of Pablo – an orange fluff ball of a kitty that brought far too much joy to our office on a rather mundane Tuesday afternoon. At eight weeks, his interests primarily include paper clips, shoelaces and credit building.
