William A. Kerr Foundation Issues Challenge Grant

John Sweet, trustee of the William A. Kerr Foundation, is challenging green builders and other green supporters to capitalize a Green Loan Fund for local micro-enterprises that are socially and environmentally responsible in the way they source, manufacture, and market their products and run their offices and factories.   The William A. Kerr Foundation will match dollar for dollar all contributions made through June 30, 2010 to justine PETERSEN’s Green Loan Fund.

 

All donors will be acknowledged on the Justine Petersen webpage and a special Green Loan Fund plaque to be displayed in the lobby of the Justine Petersen Building, 1023 N. Grand 63106.  Donor levels of recognition will be:  Sustainers $1 - $249, Leaders $250 -$499, Patrons $500 - $999, Guardians $1,000 - $2,499, Champions $2,500 - $4,999, and Benefactors $5,000+.


justine PETERSEN's Capital Campaign

justine PETERSEN is engaged in a capital campaign to raise $1.2 Million for the purchase and renovation of its new building located at 1023 N. Grand 63106.  When finished, the property will house justine PETERSEN offices, a micro-enterprise incubator space, a community training/ conference room and business center.  To date, justine PETERSEN has raised $510,000 through the significant contributions and generosity of the following foundations and companies:

 

Naming Opportunities

 

Some examples of naming opportunities (contact us for a complete list):

 

Microenterprise Center - $100,000  

              This gift will name the first floor of the Olivia Building.   

 

Conference room - $50,000

             This large space will be used monthly for the FDIC’s Money Smart

              Curriculum and be available for other training and for

              community groups.

 

Lobby - $35,000

              This is the welcoming area for all clients and the public. The area

              also contains wall space that will be used as a gallery for local

              artists.

 

Entrepreneurial Center - $15,000

              Small Business Lab (shared workspace for up to three

              businesses)  

 

Economic Education Counseling Room - $15,000

This room will provide a private space to assist individuals to prepare a budget and understand and improve their credit ratings.
